Split PDF and Extract Pages for Free

Keep only the pages you need, extract a page range or divide a document into separate PDFs. The split operation runs in your browser and saves new files.

Basic use is free without an account, a daily file quota or a PDFandGO watermark. OCR, existing-text replacement and Word export are separate advanced operations; using them on the document can change its download-access requirements. Current allowances and Pro plans.

How to split a PDF online

  1. Choose the PDF you want to split.
  2. Select individual pages or enter the ranges you need, such as 1–3 and 5–7.
  3. Choose the output option, check the selected pages and download the new PDF files.

Extract one page or save a page range

For a single page, select only that page. For a chapter or a group of invoices, select the corresponding range. Review the selection before you save so the output contains the intended pages.

You can keep a selection together or create separate files using the options in the tool. Your original PDF remains on your device.

Split locally before sharing

Basic splitting does not require an account and adds no PDFandGO watermark. Documents are processed on your phone or computer rather than uploaded to a server.

Extracting pages can be useful when a recipient needs only one part of a longer document. It is not a substitute for permanently redacting sensitive content that remains on a selected page.

Try the tool with sample files

Samples contain generated demonstration content, not real customer data. Keep the source when comparing settings. An example result does not guarantee the same behavior for every PDF.

Extract pages 2 and 3 from a known three-page document

In the fictional sample, the supply list is page 2 and the appendix is page 3. Use those two pages as a small extraction exercise. The saved PDF should contain two pages, starting with the supply list rather than the project note.

Distinguish page position from printed page numbers

The sample’s printed page labels match its positions, but a real report may have an unnumbered cover or a separately numbered appendix. Select the positions shown by the tool and verify the page headings before exporting the range.

Inspect the boundaries of the extracted document

Open the saved copy and check its first and last pages. If you need two separate documents rather than one two-page result, review the tool’s available split modes. Keep the full source file until you have confirmed that no required page was omitted.

Check your result

  • Select positions 2 and 3 in the three-page source.
  • Confirm a two-page result beginning with Supply list.
  • Check that the project note was not included accidentally.

Try it with fictional sample files

These are synthetic practice inputs, not customer documents or promised outputs. Keep the originals and inspect your own exported copies. Current allowances and Pro plans apply to advanced downloads.

Questions and answers

Can I extract a single page?

Yes. Select that page and save it as a new PDF. Check the page preview before downloading.

Does splitting change the original PDF?

No. The tool creates output files from your selection. Keep the original PDF if you may need the other pages later.

Can I rearrange pages as well?

Use Organize PDF pages to change page order or rotation. Use Merge PDF when you want to combine pages from separate documents.

Are my document files uploaded?

No. PDF processing runs in your browser on your own device. Software, fonts or language models may download when needed. Account, payment and technical data are handled separately as explained in the privacy policy.

Does it work on a phone?

Use a supported modern browser on your phone, tablet or computer. Large or complex documents depend on your device memory and may take longer.

Is it free?

Basic use is free without an account, a daily file quota or a PDFandGO watermark. OCR, existing-text replacement and Word export are separate advanced operations; using them on the document can change its download-access requirements. Current allowances and Pro plans.

What should I check when extracting pages 2 and 3 from the sample?

The extracted copy should have two pages: Supply list followed by Appendix and final checks. Open the downloaded PDF to confirm those headings and the total page count, and keep the original three-page document.
